To support public communication around the 2019 planned refurbishment of Hamburg’s iconic tennis stadium Am Rothenbaum, we created a highly emotional and engaging animation film for ECE and the German Tennis Federation.

Told through the eyes of a young boy dreaming of one day playing in the stadium, the film follows his journey—culminating in the match of his life. Along the way, we illustrate the architectural changes through dynamic virtual transformations, making the design evolution tangible for all audiences.

Former tennis champion Michael Stich supported the project and secretly assumed an important role in our story. He stands as a symbol for the boy who wants to play at Rothenbaum one day himself. In 1993, Michael won the tournament after following numerous games live in the stadium as a child, together with his parents.
