Refreshing a high-rise building built in 1963 in the middle of Monte Carlo? Sounds crazy, but it can be done. With a focus on sustainable innovation.
Our animated film shows the iconic “Le Schuylkill Tower” after its redesign in the middle of this densely built-up city. Zaha Hadid Architects’ design meets modern requirements without jeopardizing its historical value.
The project focuses on decarbonization, which means the abandonment of fossil fuels in favor of renewable energy, and aims to achieve a low carbon footprint. Sustainable features include the reuse of rainwater and gray water, improved thermal performance and a connection to the district’s seawater cooling network, significantly reducing energy demand. A ceramic façade with rain protection will be installed for thermal insulation.
While embracing its historical and sustainable features, the architects have ensured this high-class luxury property provides future residents with top-tier facilities that set a new standard of excellence.
Construction work has already begun so that the tower can be reoccupied in 2027.
