At the official launch of the Khalid Bin Sultan City Masterplan, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, our task was to translate a bold urban vision into a cinematic experience. The masterplan, located in Sharjah beside the BEEAH HQ, lays out seven neighbourhoods connected by a two-kilometre shaded “oasis spine,” prioritizing walkability, community spaces, and sustainable living. Rooted in culture, smart technology, and environmental design, the project marks a milestone in future-oriented city planning.
The animation became the centrepiece of the launch, explaining the masterplan in a modern, accessible way from the very first moment. Beyond dramatic 3D visuals and cinematic camera movements, we used graphical layers, fluid transitions, and narrative cues to clearly show how the city is structured and how its core ideas, such as sustainability, mobility, and public life, fit together. It was designed to inspire, but also to make a complex vision immediately understandable to a wide audience.
