We were commissioned to create this animation for the announcement ceremony for the Aga Khan Garden in Edmonton, Canada, which took place in April 2017. The film places special emphasis on conveying the peace and harmony of this unique park as a site of intercultural exchange. We situated the garden’s cultural elements in a balanced relationship to nature, highlighting the park’s fusion of the inherent features of the nature of North America and a modern interpretation of Islamic architecture.

The garden opened its gates at the University of Alberta in 2008. It is financed by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, which focuses on the physical, social, cultural and economic revitalization of communities and cultural exchange. The new park is designed to renew and deepen the connection between cultures and communities.
