In 2017, François Chatillon Architecte and design partner Snøhetta, along with a large interdisciplinary project team, were commissioned by Eiffage Immobilier to submit a design proposal for the extension of the Sciences Po campus in Paris, France. The goal of the project was to visualize the Sciences Po campus of 2022: a site that would function as a hub for modern political science embedded in a strong international framework. Snøhetta and François Chatillon Architecte’s design proposal revolves around creating a generous garden at the heart of Paris.

Talking to Sciences Po students and teachers we realized that the most important moment of the year that everyone is working towards is the graduation ceremony. The film’s story therefore climaxes at this point in time, which symbolizes success and a bright future. For us, visualizing this modern hub for contemporary political science also meant embodying its unique spaces, light and nature, as well as carefully analyzing the university’s history and its future needs.
