For the 2017 official opening ceremony of the Aga Khan Garden in Edmonton, Canada, we were commissioned to produce an animation that captures the unique atmosphere of this intercultural park. The film focuses on conveying the peaceful nature of the landscape and its role as a place of cultural exchange. Designed by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in collaboration with the University of Alberta, the garden combines the natural features of the North American landscape with contemporary interpretations of Islamic garden architecture.

Our animation places a particular emphasis on this dialog – highlighting the fusion of form, tradition and nature.

Opened in 2018, the garden aims to promote understanding and connection between cultures and communities. Financed by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, it focuses on the physical, social, cultural and economic revitalization of communities and cultural exchange.
